History:
Shortly after the introduction of the Model II a third model was released.
The Model III, named "Westentaschenmodell" (Vestpocket Model) as well, was the answer of Langenhan to the smaller Walther- and Mauser- vestpocket-pistols of that time.
The basic construction design of the gun was kept the same, but a screw was choosen for the connection of slide and action-block, and following the reduced dimensions the capacity of the magazine was decreased to 6 rounds.
It was marked the same way like Model II, but with the additional words "Modell III" at the action.
The Models II and III seemed to have been available in the trading shops up to 1936/37, even if the production ended in 1930.
The reason for the slightly longer barrel shown in this picture is, that the pistol originally had a longer barrel, which was cut later by the owner, as it was usual for some deliveries to Austria due to the Austrian law of that time.
