Schmeisser Model II

History:

Around 1927 a new model was put on the market, after which the first pistol was named as Model I and the new pistol as Model II.
From the technical point of view there was nothing new in it, only shape and size were minimized and due to the simplification the complicated safety-mechanism was canceled.
Smaller variations in markings and grips are known.
It seems the Model II has not been produced for a long time, like the Model I just up to 1930, because of better sales-figures of this Model I. There is nothing reported about the amount of produced pistols, but appearently very few due to the short production period, and therefore this type is already rather scarce today.
