Frommer Liliput

History:

The Frommer "Liliput" came up in 1923 and was , - like the preceding "Baby"- , a smaller size type of the Frommer "Model 29 M" , but this time the smaller "Liliput" was produced earlier than the bigger brother.
Rudolf Frommer this time gave up his preferred locked system with long recoil , just to take part in the big business with vestpocket-pistols. The design with external hammer and slide catch still made this vestpocket pistols outstanding from the lots of other constructions of this time.
While the later construction "Stop" was manufactured at a amount of 50.000 pcs. and was taken over by the Hungarian Army, the smaller model "Liliput" was dedicated for public use.
As the lowest known number of the "Liliput" is above 400.000 the numbering is estimated starting with 400.000, maybe there even were changes in numbering by group of numbers between the "Baby" and the "Stop".
